About Me – Ronak Hiwale
Hello! My name is Ronak Hiwale, and I’m a 16-year-old student and the Director of RRRK Solutions, an organization I co-founded to help students develop essential skills in areas such as Chess, Mathematics, and STEM. I’m a passionate learner with a wide range of interests, including chess, soccer, robotics, and math.
I began playing chess in 2012, and over the years, it has grown into one of my greatest passions. I currently hold the title of National Chess Master and am ranked 22nd in the United States in my age group. Some of my top chess achievements include competing in prestigious tournaments such as the World Open (Philadelphia, 2021 & 2022), North American Open (2022), and the US Masters (2022). I’ve also given back to the chess community by volunteering as a coach with the nonprofit organization Global Guru, where I mentored younger students in developing their skills and love for the game.
In mathematics, I’ve had the privilege of representing my school at various high-level competitions. My achievements include qualifying for the MATHCOUNTS State Competition (2022), Regionals (2023), and earning a spot on the AMC 8 Honor Roll (2023). I was also honored to receive the 2nd highest math score overall at St. John’s School, where I currently study.
My interest in robotics began in elementary school through FIRST LEGO League (FLL), where I competed from 4th to 6th grade. As I progressed into middle and high school, I transitioned into FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), where I continue to grow my skills in programming, engineering, and team collaboration.
At RRRK Solutions, we are currently offering math and chess classes tailored to help students build strong foundations, improve critical thinking, and achieve excellence. Our goal is to make learning both fun and meaningful, and I’m proud to lead an organization that’s making a difference in students’ lives.

Giving Back Through Chess – My Experience in India
I’ve always believed that knowledge grows when it’s shared, and I’m deeply passionate about using my skills to give back to the community. One of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had was during a family trip to Orissa, India, where I had the special opportunity to volunteer at a local school and introduce children to the game of chess.
Alongside my sister, we led fun and interactive sessions, teaching the students the basics of chess, sharing beginner strategies, and encouraging them to think critically and creatively. Since many of the students primarily spoke Odia, my mom helped bridge the language gap by translating our instructions—making it a true family effort that brought everyone closer together.
At the end of the lessons, we played friendly matches with students who already had a bit of experience. Watching their excitement grow with each game, and seeing the pride on their faces when they made a good move, was incredibly rewarding. It was a powerful reminder of how something as simple as a board game can inspire confidence, connection, and curiosity.
This experience gave me a deep sense of joy and fulfillment. It wasn’t just about teaching chess—it was about building relationships and opening doors for kids who may never have had this kind of exposure. It’s a memory I’ll always cherish, and it’s motivated me to continue making an impact.
Since then, I’ve continued to support chess clubs in India, helping them grow and thrive. I also offer free online coaching to students who are passionate about learning the game but may not have access to formal training. Giving back through chess is not just something I do—it’s become part of who I am.
